Holy Communion Offered First Sunday of Every Month
The Great Thanksgiving, our communion liturgy, will be a part of our online worship on the first Sunday of each month at 9:45 a.m. You can participate in online worship at or by calling 877-476-8319. Then after worship, beginning at 10:45 a.m. and running until noon, we will serve the communion elements in the church parking lot.
Directions for Receiving the Bread and Juice:  You will need to enter the church property from the Meadowbridge Road entrance. You will then make an immediate right into the gravel lot.  You will drive around the gravel lot and straight across the paved parking lot where you will then make a right turn in front of the church building. As you make your turn, a volunteer will greet you (from a safe social distance) to ask you how many people will be receiving communion elements. You will then stop in front of the church building (designated on the map with a yellow dot). Pastor Jay will extend pre-packaged communion elements to you in a red cup on the end of a rod. The driver of the vehicle will pick up the entire cup with the elements inside. You then will have the opportunity to give to the MCEF communion offering.
Other Items that Can Be Picked Up on Sunday Following Communion (February)
  • A Lenten devotional
  • An ash covered cotton swab (for use during Ash Wednesday service on February 17)
  • If you are participating in Pastor Jay's Lenten study, pick up the book The Walk
Once you have received communion and any other items you choose, please drive behind the gym and off the premises onto Shady Grove Rd. You are invited to partake in your communion elements once you are safely home.
Reminders: Do not arrive early. Please participate in the entire worship service from the comfort of your home and then make your way to church. At no time are you allowed to pull into a parking space or get out of your vehicle. The Healthy Church Team has obtained permission from our District Superintendent to conduct communion in this way and it is vital that we all adhere to the approved guidelines. The church building will not be open. Bathrooms will not be available.
Strict protocols will be followed by our staff and volunteers in maintaining the safest environment possible. We hope you will join us for this unique experience of a holy sacrament.
