The Games from Above: Part 1: Training — Pastor Jay Kelchner

It’s hard to sacrifice something that you hold dear. Athletes do it all the time. They restrict themselves from those things that will hinder their development. It’s hard to do in a world that pushes and easier way or a less disciplined life style. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Becoming a strong Christian is just as demanding. It requires sacrifice, but it also promises rewards along the way. The sense of euphoria you feel at the end of a hard fought race is similar to the sense of satisfaction you feel when you were faithful to the call of Christ. This sermon will encourage us to do the hard work necessary to enter the kingdom or to allow the kingdom to enter us.
