Young Adults

Habitat for Humanity Faith Build
January 3, 2020
8:15 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
On January 3, youth (16 and up), and young adults are invited to participate in a home build for Habitat for Humanity in Ashland. Shady Grove is partnering together with several other area churches to help construct an affordable home in Ashland for Melissa Hoban and her daughter Savannah. We have set aside January 3 for our young adults. The work day is from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm.  Lunch will be provided (from Subway).  Build teams are limited to 12 per day, so please only sign-up if you definitely plan to participate. Contact Dwayne Stinson if you have questions. To sign up, click here

The Table, Tuesday evenings
Find your place at The Table. Every week, young adults from Shady Grove UMC gather for Bible study or fellowship. Come join us!
First Tuesday of every month, 7 p.m., Trivia Night at the New York Deli in Carytown (2920 W. Cary Street).
All other Tuesdays, 8 p.m., Panera in Carytown (10 Nansemond Street).

College and University Student Ministries
Shady Grove wants to stay in touch with our college and university students while they are away from home. You can help by keeping your address up-to-date. You can update your contact information by clicking HERE. You can also sign up for the College Care program at that link. Plans for a summer mission experience and other gatherings are underway.

College Care Program
The College Care Program is one of the ways Shady Grove Members stay in touch with students while they are away at school. Students choose to participate (click HERE to sign up and update your contact information). Church members adopt or sponsor a student, ensuring that students receive notes, cards, and e-mails throughout their year. In May, students and their sponsors or partners connect over lunch.
